The Society for Rock Mechanics & Engineering Geology (SRMEG) can trace its origin to an interest group formed in 1998 under the Tunnelling and Underground Society Singapore (TUCSS). Since then, the group has grown, along with the growth in rock mechanics activities. In July 2006 when it was re-structured into the current society.
